so a month or so ago Holly of Running in Stilettos & I discussed our love of snail mail & how we wanted a penpal...well instead of just talking about it we decided to do it! & to make the penpal snail mail even more exciting we decided to have themes with our snail mail.
If you don't know Holly well that sucks first off, but second shes from Ohio...somewhere I have never ever been...& well I'm from California somewhere she has never been! We both are so interested in each others states that we decided our first snail mail would be hometown themed!
I was SUPER excited when I got her package because one I love football & two i love clothes. If you didn't know Ohio State football is HUGE in Ohio. They call it The Buckeye State! I always wanted to go to a college that was big in football but it never happened. I went to a few University of Oregon football games back in the day & i LOVED them. But now I'm transiting into a Buckeye! So in honor of football pre-season starting I decided to have some fun with my Ohio gear!!!

what do you think of my awesome football moves...pretty legit right? ha! In my defense tho, I did play powder puff in college & kicked some sorority girl ass! ...so one of my dreams in life was to be a cheerleader in high school. I never wanted something so bad. Cheer was huge in our town & it was something I worked towards from the moment I started dancing at age 3. So when it finally came time to try out for cheer my freshmen year of high school I was ready to go....
However, I still to this day remember sitting in the gym floor with all the other hundred of girls who also tried out. I was sweating beyond belief as the varsity cheerleaders passed out envelopes to the girls who made the JV team. I never got an envelope. I just had to sit there watching my dream fade away while hearing all the excitement from my friends making the team. I was devastated. It was an awful day filled with a lot of crying & well a lot of screaming....see I do have a little bit of a temper so when I got home I kinda threw a fit...
But it didn't detour me. I was determined to be a cheerleader! So when i got to college I was super excited to hear we had a cheer team. So of course I tried out. I was SO nervous. I didn't think I was going to make it....& I prayed that they wouldn't torture us like they did in high school making everyone sit in the gym & watch who makes it. Luckily they just gave you a number & after the tryouts posted a list of the numbers who made it. I remember walking up to the list shaking & praying to God. I went up to the list...& at first glance I didn't see my number....a pit started to form in my stomach....but as I looked closer there I saw my number...3rd on the list. I made it. I made the cheer team. I was a cheerleader. I called my mom crying. I was hysterical. We both were. Finally my hard work paid off & I got to live my dream.

Okay sorry I got sidetracked....but when I think football, I think cheerleaders......so overall i LOVE my Ohio stuff...it got me even more excited for football season!
and nothing is better than ending the day watching some pre-season football & having a nice cold drink....with my Ohio State koozie of course!
