Full-figured women were admired and painted on large canvases in order to celebrate and preserve their loveliness.
Throughout the decades, as trends come and go, girls, ladies and women are starting to understand the size of your breasts, the length of your hair or the gap in your teeth...none of it matters. Beauty is an aura and an energy. Understanding and embracing that concept makes what others might consider "flaws," sexy. Take it from these celebrities that refuse to conform to the jaded.
Kate Winslet
Kate Winslet, our lady of "Titanic," has this ethereal glow about her. She's constant in her weight and typically doesn't fluctuate more than a few sizes for movie roles. She's a beautiful woman, curvy and normal. The Oscar-winning screen goddess loves her body now but had to struggle being scrutinized by the public for a few years, she told Vanity Fair Italy in 2011. It took some time for her to accept herself but now, she loves her look. She's curvalicious!

Anna Paquin
There are many reasons Anna Paquin has been in the spotlight since 1993 (when she was 11 years old). Most recently, it is the HBO series, "True Blood" and the "X-Men" series ("X-Men: Days of Future Past" is currently filming). She is a pretty, classy, petite woman who keeps her personal life out of the tabloids. When you think of Anna Paquin, the first thing that comes to mind are those big browns and that cute gap in the middle of her teeth. It makes her completely recognizable and unique. She has no plans on changing this little quirk. Sookie, you're sensational.

Robyn Lawley
Shopping for the perfect bathing suits can be one of those things that takes your self confidence and throws it right down the Dillard's escalator. Thank goodness for Robyn Lawley. This plus-size model has opened the door for regular women to get cute swimwear that fit their actual body shape. Have a large bust? No problem, clothing stores and fashion labels realize this and make a wearable 38DD so you can flaunt your stuff at the pool without wearing a swim dress. Unless, of course, that is what you prefer... then work that swim dress girl.Robyn Lawley image by Mount 1313 via Wikimedia Commons.
Adele
There are a growing number of women celebs making a stand to promote a positive body image. This includes celebrating their natural curves like they did in the Renaissance. While they promote eating healthy and staying active, there's a certain sexiness to a woman who has that inner confidence to not listen to chatter. English pop diva, Adele, makes no apologies for her voluptuous stature. In fact, she has no interest in being a stereotypical magazine model. The key is to be happy with yourself and appreciate yourself. We love you, Adele.
