spikes & crosses

So a few weeks ago I was invited to a TopShop launch event at Nordstrom. If you haven't heard about TopShop yet, it's a British brand of clothing that is now FINALLY being sold in the US! A good friend of mine whom I use to work with at Nordstrom was promoted to manage the new TopShop section at Nordstrom in the Irvine Spectrum so of course I was going to check it out. 

As I was coming up the escalator my mouth just opened wide. It was beautiful. They really out did themselves. The whole presentation was fabulous. Everything was situated  & displayed perfectly. It was a fashionista paradise.....especially if you're a fan of crosses & spikes.....& this girl right here...well I can't get enough of 'em.

The event in general was also fabulous. They had a DJ spinning, makeup artists doing makeup & nails, lots of staff dressed up & walking around decked in TopShop.  They also had a picture backdrop & a British telephone booth!!! Along with TopShop themed cookies & British flags. It was adorable.

So TopShop is a mix between the rocker chic girl & the girly girl. They have a wide variety of stuff for everyone. From color denim, jean jackets & sweaters....to sparkly shirts, leggings, crosses & spikes...to short dresses, vests & leather...it goes on. Take a look for yourself ----->

Pretty fabulous right!? But there is a downside. TopShop ain't cheap. I know, of course right? Nonetheless, I still had to try some stuff on. I wanted to try on everything, but since I knew I wasn't going to be able to buy anything I didn't want to temp myself too much....& for some reason my lips were in duck mode, so excuse half the duck lip pictures....

Sooooo this next outfit I was obsessed with. I wanted these leggings SO badly. But they were a little different. Annoyingly, I'm still that girl who asks her moms opinion when I am unsure, so I texted my mom  a picture. Her words exactly - "EW NO". I was heartbroken & continued to send her about 4 more pictures  hoping she would change her mind. She did not.

So of course I went home with something....who am I? Can you guess what it was? And i'll give you a hint ---> sadly, no it was not the cross leggings. So what do you think of the new British brand TopShop?
