 we meet again. 

my weekend was pretty low key. it consisted of this --

 & thats it....it was perfect. 

so today I am so excited to introduce to you a bloggy friend of mine. i have gotten to know this girl a lot over the past months & she is just so fun! We bonded over our love for hippy headbands and messy hair. You most likely already know her because she isn't a newbie in the 'blogland' & is always one to lend a helping hand, but today you get to know her even better plus she has some exciting news for you all too! SO without further ado meet July's Messy Girl of the Month

Hi dolls! I'm Samantha and I blog over at Hooah and Hiccups! I'm the wife of a handsome soldier in the US Army, mommy to a handsome little blonde baby who I call "Bubba", and lover of all things pink :) We're currently expecting our second child and cannot wait to expand our loving family! 

I mostly blog about anything family, fashion, and fun related, but am not exactly sure what blogger "category" I fall into! I'm all about staying true to myself as a person and not loosing site of myself just because I'm married with a kid(s). You'll find anything from tips on staying stylish on a budget, real life problems, and parenting advice and experience.



5 random things about me are:

1. I met all of 'Nsync when I was in 5th grade; JC called me cutie and changed my life forever.


2. I'm OCD about radio and tv channels; they can only be on a number that end in 0, 2, 5, or 8.


3. My husband and I went to the same college but didn't meet until the year after he graduated (I'm a year older, craddle robber).


4. I've known one of my best friends since 5th grade and we bonded over a Britney Spears concert.


5. I can have a complete conversation in movie quotes aka I'm obsessed with movies and quoting them whenever possible.

#TheMessyProject ----->> tan lines

Welcome back to the one & only #TheMessyProject! 

SO If you are new around here & have yet to hear about the project, you can check out all the info HERE..... but here's just a quick little intro to help you get more acquainted to the project  ----> 

so for this round I went with something completely different than the lace skirt from last week. As I was looking around I was drawn to this fabulous tiffany green jean vest. I have been wanting a jean vest forever, so I stepped it up a bit and decided to go with a fun bright color for summer!

SO since it is summer time and around these parts most of the time is spent in our swim suits I decided to dress around one of my swim suits. Who says you can't still be in style while going to the beach or pool?!

So I am not big on mixing jean on jean but since this jean vest was a mint color I put it with my destroyed jean shorts...which by the way I have had since high school. I decided to pair the vest with my ombre swim suit which has a tint of the mint color in it. 

since it is a beach look I didn't want to add a lot of accessories so I just added a few beaded bracelets and a gold long necklace with a mint skull on it. I completed the look with my gladiators and white sunglasses. I also really liked the way the vest looked buttoned up as well. Both were perfect for the pool or beach!

the MINI project ----- POP of color

& we're back with another edition of the MINI project...not sure what the MINI is.....here's a quick intro ---

Well, Its allllllll about the MINI parts of fashion - the ACCESSORIES...which can also play a huge role in our everyday outfits. Just like clothes, accessories are also worn differently by each person depending on their style, shape, look etc. So the MINI project focuses only on accessories....but I don't mean just jewelry - tights, hats, sunglasses, headbands, bows, scarfs, shoes, belts, gloves are alllll accessories as well. Like always -

SO this month while I was browsing around looking for the perfect item I came across something that I just couldn't pass up....& i know you'll all be obsessed too...

 What I really loved about these shorts was how versatile they can be. There are so many different looks you can do with these shorts...the possibilities are endless. They're the perfect summer short because you can dress them up....and you can also dress them down. 

I decided to go with a casual summer day time outfit with a pop of color ---

 so as you can see I added a yellow tank to brighten up the look. Since the tank is more loose I tucked it in and added a beige lace bra....& since its summer time I was able to bring out my favorite pair of Tory Burch flats, which went perfectly with the white dots.

SO i am in LOVE with the pockets. They add such a fun edition to the shorts. I chose to keep it simple with my classic silver jewelry & for those cool summer nights, I just added a light jean jacket to complete the look.

the only bee ill let sting me....

some Friday wisdom for all you lovers....I think starting off Friday with some inspiration is always a good idea....

SO can you believe that we only have 4 days left in April!?!???! Complete craziness. I am usually SO excited for May because its my birthday month, but for once I am so not ready....28. I am going to be 28. Only 2 years left of my 20s....what the hell!? 

okay but enough of me complaining about getting older, one thing I am excited for is Summer....& then you know whats after summer??....the best time of the year!!!!!! If you don't already know this about me, September-December is MY absolute favorite time. I love the weather, the seasons, the holidays and the spirit. 

I have so many things coming up within those months, that it just gets me so excited. SO whenever I am feeling down or just having one of those days, I remind myself of everything coming up so I can get myself outta that funk.
