the MINI project ----- POP of color

& we're back with another edition of the MINI project...not sure what the MINI is.....here's a quick intro ---

Well, Its allllllll about the MINI parts of fashion - the ACCESSORIES...which can also play a huge role in our everyday outfits. Just like clothes, accessories are also worn differently by each person depending on their style, shape, look etc. So the MINI project focuses only on accessories....but I don't mean just jewelry - tights, hats, sunglasses, headbands, bows, scarfs, shoes, belts, gloves are alllll accessories as well. Like always -

SO this month while I was browsing around looking for the perfect item I came across something that I just couldn't pass up....& i know you'll all be obsessed too...

how freaking adorable are these pleated polka dot silky shorts with pockets!??!

 What I really loved about these shorts was how versatile they can be. There are so many different looks you can do with these shorts...the possibilities are endless. They're the perfect summer short because you can dress them up....and you can also dress them down. 

I decided to go with a casual summer day time outfit with a pop of color --- 

shorts: forever 21
tank: feel the piece
bra: urban outfitters
shoes: tory burch
jewelry: tiffany & co
watch: juicy couture 

 so as you can see I added a yellow tank to brighten up the look. Since the tank is more loose I tucked it in and added a beige lace bra....& since its summer time I was able to bring out my favorite pair of Tory Burch flats, which went perfectly with the white dots.

SO i am in LOVE with the pockets. They add such a fun edition to the shorts. I chose to keep it simple with my classic silver jewelry & for those cool summer nights, I just added a light jean jacket to complete the look.

So what do you think of the yellow with the blue? Would you pair a jean jacket with them? How would you have styled the shorts, I would LOVE to know!

i love you California...you're the greatest state of all....sound familiar?! thank you Jeep for the shout out in your latest commercial

SO its defiantly no secret i love where i live....

im a California Girl to the max.....born & raised

i have lived up and down the state of California so Cali & I know each other pretty well

so when I came across The Home T i was instantly obsessed....

a t-shirt representing my home - YES PLEASE.....& then I found out that a portion of profits are donated to Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Research & i was sold! 

when my Home T arrived I was so excited to try it on....I couldn't believe how soft the material of the shirt was. I was in love...& haven't worn anything else to bed since -

and then it got me thinking of why I love California so much....SO

"....you can stand in the sand in a bathing suit at the beach & look at the snow caps in the mountains.... "

one. the weather - we are so blessed to have mostly sunny days year round...there are times im in a bikini in december!

two. the beach - i get to see this every day

i've been in that house on the cliff

three. the diversity of people



four. san francisco - i've walked across the golden gate bridge...a must do for any tourist 

five. the food....any kind of food you want from any part of the world is within 45 minutes

six. hollywood & beverly hills - the land of opportunity, celebrities & make believe

six. surfer boys.....shaggy hair, bleached blonde from the sun, dark tanned skin...need I say more?

seven. big bear & lake tahoe - in a matter of hours you can go from the sand to the snow

the BF is a pretty bad ass skier

eight. we are always in the know.....always current with the trends

nine. wine country...in both the northern & southern California

pretty DRASTIC changes

so this weekend flew by....but I am pretty sure today is a holiday for a few of you...its presidents day so hopefully you are enjoying an extra day off! My day will be spent blog designing & getting ready for class tomorrow! 

so we had beautiful weather this weekend...it was 80 degrees on Saturday. 

i know i say it all the time, but i seriously feel so blessed to live where I do...i couldn't even imagine living anywhere else.....ever.

butttt that doesn't mean I don't like to travel. There are still SO many places I still want to go to...DisneyWorld, Italy, Greece, Amsterdam, Australia.....just to name a few....the BF has already traveled a lot of the world so I am excited for when we do start traveling I will already have a tour guide....but since traveling isn't anywhere in my near future, thankfully I can live vigorously though this fabulous blogger while she embarks on her travels. 

When I first started reading her blog she was living in my neck of the woods about an hour away is sunny San Diego....it was always a fun & silly read, I really enjoy her outlook on life....but then  things suddenly changed.....its really amazing what drastic changes she went through....its defiantly something I don't think I could ever do which is why I think she's so cool....so without further ado meet the funny & adventurous

Better? Sort of. Okay, moving on.

My name is Michelle (or Mish). And that right there is my main man V Dizzle.

Together we have quit our day jobs, sold everything we own, and I mean everything, and now we're off galavanting around the world.

We just got done living for a month in Thailand, so it's safe to say if you were to head over to my blog right now, you'd probably see a lot of talk about lady boys, which, in my opinion, can never be talked about enough.

As of now, we're continuing our travels around Southeast Asia for the next two months, just taking it day by day.

It's crazy, it's exciting, and dare I say it's...Messy? {see what I did there?}
