the color run

hellllooo lovers! so over the weekend i did the 5k Color Run, to support the big brother & big sisters foundation. The event was held at The Great Park in Irvine. 12,000 People attended the run! It was crazy! Quick insight on the run - there are 4 checkpoints that you run to & at each stop you get sprayed with a different color paint!

So if you haven't noticed yet i am not much of a gym person. I never work out besides for Pilate's. i just hate the gym. but for some reason i am a fan of running 5ks...i did the 5k Mud Run last September so this will be my 2nd...& def not my last!

the color run is everywhere in the United States & i highly suggest signing up...even if you don't work out or aren't athletic. if i can do it, you can too. plus who doesn't like being sprayed with PINK paint!?

 first checkpoint was YELLOW...that's my boyfriend running with the heart on his back...i decided to bring my camera w/ me on the race & put a plastic bag around it so i could get the full effect...the next pictures are literally pictures i am taking while running through the yellow haze.

crazy right? can you see the footsteps in the yellow haze?

after getting sprayed with green right in the face!



coming out of the blue haze....next stop the FINISH line & the best color of all....PINK

we did it! so of course we had some fun in all the color....they give you extra packets of the dry paint so you can have a little fun after the race....& we did.....

such a fun event, cant wait till next year....out of all those colors the only color that I still have a streak of in my hair is.....green, booo i wanted it to be pink..haha!

hair dye extravaganza!!!

helllllo lovers! the time has finally come....I'm not gonna do much writing because i think the pictures say enough...so lets get started & welcome to my hair dye extravaganza!

and here's my beautiful stylist Kelly K...she expecting a little angel in September, isn't she just glowing?!

I can not say enough about Kelly & how wonderful she is not only as a stylist but as a person. She has such amazing energy around her & is always giving off positive good vibes. i just love being around her. not to mention she is SO incredibly talented. Not only in hair but makeup as well.  Kelly had recently gotten promoted to a salon in LA, so it really meant a lot to me that she came back up to the OC to do my hair. This is one of Kelly's assistant Adrii...how fun is her hair? One thing that i have always been jealous of is people who work in salons, because they get to try all these fun, funky,different hair styles & colors & still be able to work with them. I don't think something this funky would fly in my office...haha.

 Time to dry & straighten....yes i need 2 people to dry my hair because it will literally take forever if i don't have 2 dryers going at once....i told you my hair was a beast!

Then i decided to put on one of my new FAVORITE maxi dresses i just bought for my trip to Hawaii next week & have a mini photo shoot with my new blonde, straightened hair

Dress: Quicksilver Women's....if you haven't tried or even heard of Quicksilver's Women line you need to look at they're stuff right now...its a Roxy version for women & its FABULOUS!!!

you know i wish i was a hippie right?  so there you have....my hair dye extravaganza...it turned out perfect & exactly how I like it! sooo the big question for you is what do you like better CURLY or STRAIGHT?...I'd love to hear your opinions
