so today is a hair trend that I have wanted to try forever but haven't because of various reasons....one reason being I feel too old for this trend. So today's FF (fearless fashion) for me is....


PINK...in your HAIR

so as I was pinning around for pink hair I realized there are a few different varieties of pink hair you can have. You can go all pink, just the tips pink or just a few strands of pink throughout your hair. My favorite is LC's...its very light & very subtle but still adds a fun little twist on hair color. 


I think my main reason for wanting pink streaks is because i am obsessed with the color pink. i can't get enough. No matter what it is my first question is always - 'do they have pink?' ....but then again pink in your hair might just be too much of an overkill, especially for the profession I am in.


I think if I was a rock star I would totally rock pink streaks....actually there are so many things I would rock if I was a rock star....ah if only


however in the picture on the top row all the way to the right I feel like she really took the pink tips look and turned it into a very fashionable look. Its very trendy, but with her current hair style & bangs plus with the coral lip color she's sporting, I really think she pulls it off fashionably. 


buttttt....I don't think I will ever dye pink streaks in my hair...but it's fun to dream.

#TheMessyProject ----- A Mullet?

its baaaaaaaaackkkkk!!!!!!

Welcome back to Round 8 of #TheMessyProject!!! If you are new around here & have yet to hear about the project, you can check out all the info HERE..... but here's just a quick little intro to help you get more acquainted to the project  ----> 

so this round I tried a trend I wanted to try for awhile with #TheMessyProject but I knew it was going to be a challenge for the girls. PLUS when you get an item like they did, it can be very hard to see the MANY different ways it can be styled...but its possible & this months girls are going to show you how...5 different ways!!!! 

So this month the girls were sent a "mullet" dress as I like to call it - long in the back, short in the front....& just because we are still in the mist of winter in some places it doesn't mean you can't still be wearing dresses....you just have to think outside of the box. 

so like usual I love adding themes to my Messy Project outfits....when I looked at this dress & then looked in my closet two different looks came to mind - I could totally turn this into a rocker dress with a leather jacket & my biker boots OR I could turn this into 1970s glam....


i went glam. 

BOOTS - Jessica Simpson

since the dress was short in the front & I didn't want to wear tights, but still wanted to cover most of my legs I chose to wear my over the knee boots. Over the knee boots can be tricky because you have to pair them with the perfect outfit so it's not overlapping or taking over too much of your body. A 'mullet' dress is perfect for high boots. 


Then to go with my 70s glam theme I put my faux fur vest over the dress - which by the way is THRIFTED.....& I added dark, smokey makeup to my eyes to give it a night time disco feel. I completed my look by dressing myself in gold jewelry.... & one fabulous piece you can purchase today!

and speaking of girls -- i have a girl here today whom I adore. You may remember me mentioning her before over here on le blog because she is a blogger I have been following from the very beginning. But besides that she was the first blogger who I reached out to that actually wrote me back when I had a few quick questions...& she was as sweet as can be & since then I have followed her since I started blogging almost 1 year ago....SO i know you will just love her too. Besides being so down to earth, she has such a fun sense of style & writes from the heart....oh & did I mention its WEDDING week on her blog?!?

Hey, hey, hey!  I'm Sarah and I write over at Coming Unstitched.  It's my little space where I share my personal style (when I'm not wearing pajamas that is), my love for design, and advice/inspiration for your wardrobe!  I have just wrapped up doing a 30x30x30 challenge (which by the way, is kind of terrible so I don't recommend it- you'll miss your other clothes way too much) and this week I'm sharing alllllllllll about my recent wedding.  Which means you get to see way too many pictures of my face- and my adorable husband's.  When I'm not being obsessive with my blog or working full time, you can also find me writing a fashion column for my local newspaper, or working with clients in my new Etsy shop.  Clearly I don't have enough to do in my life.

Now that I've been blogging about a year and a half, I'm obviously an expert on the whole thing (this is definitely a joke- is ANYONE an expert on blogging?!) my best advice for you is this:

 Be kind.  First and foremost you must realize that people are putting themselves out there on their blog so there is no point in leaving rude comments.  If you don't like something, just move on.  And if someone comes to you for help, HELP THEM as best you can.  We're all very busy but there is a reason that this person is reaching out to you and usually it takes a lot of guts to do so.


  Leave THOUGHTFUL comments.  I love, love, love finding great new blogs and let's face it, there are a ton of them out there.  If someone leaves me a nice comment, 99% of the time I'm going to go to their blog and check it out.  But if all you leave is a "Great post, would you like to follow each other?" or "I'm following you, come follow me back", chances are I'm not coming to visit.  I put a lot of time into my posts (as I'm sure you do) so acknowledging that you actually read it is more important to me.


 Keep evolving.  When I first started out, I never did outfit posts.  As someone who works from home I'm usually in pajamas and you can't really launch a style blog with pajamas (or maybe you can- and it might just be the best blog ever!).  But the few times I did post an outfit, people LOVED it.  So over the year I've evolved once I've seen what my readers respond to.  I will always post what I love, but my readers are the ones giving me the opportunity to do so and the ones that keep coming back.  I want to keep them interested.  So change it up, introduce a new series, do something out of your comfort zone.  Just keep your readers coming back for more.

pretty DRASTIC changes

so this weekend flew by....but I am pretty sure today is a holiday for a few of you...its presidents day so hopefully you are enjoying an extra day off! My day will be spent blog designing & getting ready for class tomorrow! 

so we had beautiful weather this weekend...it was 80 degrees on Saturday. 

i know i say it all the time, but i seriously feel so blessed to live where I do...i couldn't even imagine living anywhere else.....ever.

butttt that doesn't mean I don't like to travel. There are still SO many places I still want to go to...DisneyWorld, Italy, Greece, Amsterdam, Australia.....just to name a few....the BF has already traveled a lot of the world so I am excited for when we do start traveling I will already have a tour guide....but since traveling isn't anywhere in my near future, thankfully I can live vigorously though this fabulous blogger while she embarks on her travels. 

When I first started reading her blog she was living in my neck of the woods about an hour away is sunny San Diego....it was always a fun & silly read, I really enjoy her outlook on life....but then  things suddenly changed.....its really amazing what drastic changes she went through....its defiantly something I don't think I could ever do which is why I think she's so cool....so without further ado meet the funny & adventurous

Better? Sort of. Okay, moving on.

My name is Michelle (or Mish). And that right there is my main man V Dizzle.

Together we have quit our day jobs, sold everything we own, and I mean everything, and now we're off galavanting around the world.

We just got done living for a month in Thailand, so it's safe to say if you were to head over to my blog right now, you'd probably see a lot of talk about lady boys, which, in my opinion, can never be talked about enough.

As of now, we're continuing our travels around Southeast Asia for the next two months, just taking it day by day.

It's crazy, it's exciting, and dare I say it's...Messy? {see what I did there?}

Knee High Socks

I have always loved the school girl look ever since I went to Catholic school when I was younger. I especially loved wearing knee highs with a plaid pleated skirt....so I like how Fashion is incorporating knee highs with more everyday wear. Plus as you can see in the pictures above knee highs can be dressed up as well as dressed down. I really like the knee highs with a dress, its just such a fun alterative to wearing stockings. However, you do need to watch what you put with the knee highs so it doesn't turn into the 'slutty' school girl we all see around Halloween time. Personally if I were to add some knee highs to my wardrobe I would get the basica colors black & grey. I think anything else would just be too much. What do you think of the knee high sock trend? Is it something you would try?   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
