I cannot bake. Not to save my life, not our of a box, with a timer or with super powers. And, every time I get a new follower, its like I make a new friend and I do a happy dance

3.) Why DId You STart Blogging?

 I began my blogging career because I moved from Memphis to Miami and left all my family and friends behind, and wanted them to be able to keep up with us on our new adventure. And then, I became attached to the amazing blogging community and fell in love!

a little lacey...

Happy Tuesday loves! So today I wanna introduce you to the online store Sugarlips....don't be fooled by the name, it's actually a adorable contemporary women's clothing brand that has freaking fabulous stuff!

They sell about everything from blouses, to pants, dresses & jackets. To me, the style is girly with a touch of boho chic...which I love. So today I am showcasing one of their precious dresses they call the A Little Lacey Dress.

I instantly fell in love with this dress because of the delicate detail throughout the collar of the dress. It has a very romantic feel. It's just a classic piece. Plus I love the simple pink color. It's one of those dresses that can have a few different looks depending on what accessories you add.  

Since the dress was simple I added a skinny patent leather belt to add some flare & give the dress a more tighter look. Then I added my patent leather mary janes  heels w/ a peep toe & a black cuff. I added a simple flower clip in my hair to complete the look. I don't want to take away from the delicate detail so adding just the right amount of accessories is important. With this type of dress I wouldn't recommend wearing a necklace or too big of earrings. Remember less is more.



 Adorable right? This dress is perfect for the office, a date, church & even fun concert. Again with the right accessories it can be worn anywhere.

Mad Women

helllllo lovers! So before I get to the GIVEAWAY....about a week ago my friend Rachelle needed a makeup model for a program she was trying to get in & of course I said yes because who doesn't like getting their makeup done for free?!

Soooo of course since I was all done up I couldn't let it go to waste so i had a mini photo shoot with a dress my mom picked up at a thrift store...the dress is actually from Ann Taylor, but my mom got it for $3 bucks. Yes you read that right, $3 bucks.

The dress instantly reminded me of something the women in Mad Men would wear...i don't watch the show, but I love the fashion & I wouldn't mind a little Don Draper in my life either!

the dress is the perfect summer dress for the office, not too short, not too low. I added my black patent leather Maryjane's & my black glasses to complete the look.

So remember if you look hard enough you can find some pretty fabulous items at thrift stores!

Favorite TV Show of the Past


I have a few favorite past shows number one being SCRUBS... the main reason behind my love for SCRUBS is a few years back I was going through a tough time & was alone one night feeling sorry for myself, going through the channels. Nothing was on but SCRUBS, I had never watched it before so I gave it a try. It was love at first watch....& it really helped me get through my hard time...I don't know how or why but it did....& for that SCRUBS will always be special for me...plus even better I met Bill Lawrence the creator behind SCRUBS & Cougar Town. He is beyond inspirational & so so talented.

I was also a huge One Tree Hill fan...they had the most intense episodes...anyone remember the school shooting one?!....Then Peyton & Lucas left...so I left too, it just wasn't the same without them

I will always have love for The OC...to me it was just one of those great classic teen dramas...I remember in college my roommates & I would stay up until 3am in the morning just watching the dvds...it's the type of show once you start you just can't stop...we would literally have to force ourselves to go to bed...i miss that show

Favorite TV Show Currently


Of course I have a few but my number one is How I Met Your Mother...I am beyond obsessed with this show....the cast is fantastic & the writing always surprises me. I watch at least 2-4 episodes every day. I have all the dvds so I am constantly just re watching them. Seriously I wish I was the mother. I love Ted.

I am also obsessed with Dexter....it weird because I can't really watch anything scary, i get freaked out really quickly but for some reason I don't feel that way about Dexter...I guess its because i too have a dark passenger sometimes ha ha..plus how can you not just love the character Dexter

I would never do any type of challenge, like survivor or the amazing race.....As you know any type of working out is just not my thing.

Isn't it funny how invested we get in our shows....so invested that we start talking about the characters like we actually know them... i do this all the time....I would have to say the character Carla from SCRUBS. She’s a strong, honest no BS independent woman....& everyone always goes to her for her straight forward advice, just like me

Can you imagine how hard it was for me when Sarah Chalk from SCRUBS who played Elliot & was JDs love interest who I loved, was also Teds love interest on How I Met Your Mother who I hated...& now its hard for me to look at Elliot the same way...I always think of Stella....if you don't watch either of these shows you will have NO idea what I'm talking about..sorry!
