I know you have been hearing about The Messy Project for some time now & today it is revealed!
So first off what is The Messy Project? Well.....
I can look at a top & style it completely different than someone else would… & to me that’s cool.
One of the main reasons I love fashion is because you can make it your own. Everyone can have the same exact clothes but the way you style & wear it, is your choice. It gives you a chance to express your inner fashonista
I know from my personal styling experience that a lot of people have trouble styling certain items. They may look at a top & instantly think, "I can't wear that...what would I do with that?"
So I wanted to find a fun way to interact with other bloggers incorporating fashion help. Something to convey who we are. To show our style. To put our creative minds to work. To express our inner Fashionista. To show people the different ways to style an item depending on your body type & you.
So The Messy Project was born.

So here’s the top that was sent to the first 4 girls of The Messy Project. They were told to do whatever they wanted with the top. There are no rules.
Since I wish I was a hippy I decided to take this blouse & turn into a 70s look. So here’s how I styled it:
As you can see I decided to tuck the top in & wear it with my lighter colored bell bottom jeans. Back in the 70s they wore their jeans a little higher than we do now, so these jeans have the perfect high waist look. I then added a plain thick brown belt & my wood platforms to add to my hippy vibe.

As far as accessories go I wanted to keep with my theme so I added some plain gold bangles, a few large gold rings, large gold hoops & no hippy is complete without a headband..preferably leather or flowers
